Implementation Outline

ePortfolio

My implementation plan offers a detailed outline of how to implement eportfolios in my class.  You will find a step-by-step plan I propose to execute over the next 24 months.  My students will have the opportunity to develop an eportfolio to track progress on their journey to learn to read.  My goal is to allow my student to learn to their maximum potential while using technology as a tool.

I. Research (July - October 2023)

  •  Share Innovation Proposal

    • Administration- Would you allow me to implement my innovation plan?

    • Teachers- Would you consider learning with me and implementing my plan in your classrooms?

    • Students- Would you use a growth mindset and take ownership of your eportfolio to develop your learning?

II. Planning (October- December 2023)

III. Pilot Implementation (January - April 2024)

  • Kindergarten Class (Rawls’)

  • Establish student “buy-in” Purpose

    • Read the book “How Rocket Learned to Read by Tad Hills”

      • Discuss the benefits of learning to read

  • Show students an example of the eportfolio they will use.

  • Explain

    • Discuss the purpose of the eportfolio

      • Discuss each component of COVA

        • Explain student choices

        • Discuss student ownership of the eportfolio

        • Discuss students using their voice

        • Discuss the authentic learning (original)

      • Learn to read

      • Be creative

V. Improve and Maintain ( August 2024 - May 2025)

  • Make adjustments that were noticed during reflection. 

  • Students continue to develop their eportfolios.

  • Support other teachers in implementation with eportfolios for their students.
