Assess Digital Learning & Instruction

In this course, I  was equipped with the skills and knowledge to conduct action research in digital learning and use data and evidence-based practices to improve instructional methods and approaches. The course provided me with practical tools and resources to evaluate learning environments and make informed decisions that positively impact student learning.

Action Research Outline

The research outline is focused on evaluating the effectiveness of ePortfolios in enhancing student learning outcomes in elementary classrooms. The purpose of the study is to identify the impact of ePortfolios on academic achievement, self-reflection, and goal-setting, as well as to explore best practices for successful implementation. The research design will use a mixed methods approach to collect both qualitative and quantitative data, including progress monitoring, district-level benchmark assessments, small group notes, and ePortfolio artifacts. The literature review will focus on the benefits and best practices of using ePortfolios in educational settings.

Contribution to Learning

Throughout my journey in EDLD-5315 and EDLD-5320, I faced challenges, experienced growth, and developed a stronger sense of community and collaboration with my peers and instructors. The action research plan, literature review, and final synthesis assignment were demanding yet rewarding, and the encouragement and guidance provided by my instructors and colleagues were instrumental in my success. As I conclude my graduate studies, I am eager to apply the knowledge and skills I've gained to make a meaningful impact in the education field, with a strong sense of accomplishment and pride in my work.
