Since starting the ADL program, I have looked at many ePortfolios. They all are well-organized and unique. I was impressed by how each individual has effectively used technology to showcase their skills and experience. I love how I could see the ePortfolio's owner personality shines through their website. I was particularly impressed by how each portfolio highlighted the person's strengths and passions, making it easy for visitors to see why they would excel in their chosen field.
I have learned a lot from visiting others' ePortfolios. However, when it comes to showcasing my ePortfolio, I feel very guarded. After looking at all the wonderful things other people do on their sites, I sometimes feel that my site needs a lot of work. Nevertheless, I am enjoying the journey and embracing a sense of accomplishment and ownership when editing my ePortfolio
LaTammie - I completely understand the feeling of being guarded when looking at my own portfolio. I keep seeing aspects and widgets that everyone else has and want to add them all... but I also want to keep mine simple and easy to use. The great thing about it being digital is that its not set in stone, we can adjust and change it along the way.
